Last year I parted ways with Austin for a bit and found myself back in my birth state of California, Nor-Cal more specifically. Hella! I flew solo a good bit in the beginning, taking advantage of being on the edge of the Sierra Nevada mountain range there was plenty to hike, swim, capture on film and cuts to explore on my bike when I came down from the mountain. I knew there was a scene in the area but paths hadn't crossed until one day at a swim spot after hiking up the hill to the parking lot the shape of some legit BMX parts caught my eye in the back seat of a car. Sure enough they were dialed after market parts so I knew these dudes were legit. I left a note and a grip of stickers and the rest is history. Della is a visual narrative of some time back in Hella country.

Spring is around the corner but when you have an itch it's always best to scratch it. Chris Girouard and Drew Quinlan escaped a New Jersey March for the more BMX accommodating climate of Austin with motivation to work on Jersey resident turned ATX Josh Babu's next full length "Hot and Heavy." Please enjoy this visual and narrative journal of events that tend to happen when you visit Austin, TX.
Here's a small grip of photos from an afternoon cruise with Big Rob, Josh Babu, CJ Romero and Michael Bowen between the cracks of downtown Austin.

A hot Oklahoma City summer with friendly faces..
With Instagrams success and popularity of their video feature they have bumped up to allowing up to 60 seconds of motion. Are IG edits going to take over web edits the same way web was to DVD? We sure hope not but here is a fun little series we will do to add a little zing to our phone clips.
Thanks to the 10 member boy band "Keyboard Warriors" for providing the track for all videos.

I just got back from a little camping jaunt in Butte Meadows, CA with the family. Thought I would share a few photos from the Lil' GoPro and phone along with my new ingenuous recipe for a camping banana cream pie. (Maybe not too impressive but humor me)
Delicioso camping banana cream pie recipe:
1) Get a naner
2) Roast a marshmallow to desired crisp.
3) Place roasted mallow on nanner and bite.
4) Repeat steps 2-3 until naner is gone.
Enjoy the outdoors.

Ohhh that feeling when the golden opportunity finds you...or you find it. Probably the latter because nothing awesome just falls on your lap right?! As I strayed away from Lauren for a few during our hike I found the key that would take us to the top and like clock work the gears start turning. You ever watch that movie "Happy Gilmore?" Love that movie, such a classic! Remember the scene after the crazy guy drives the VW Bug on the golf course knocking the tower over then Happy has to shoot this crazy miniature golf carnival shot? He shoots and the ball rolls through the obstacles everyone's head moves with each move of the ball through the checkpoints. That shit plays in my head every time I find something to climb! Outer fence; check (cake to climb) 8-10ft ladder blocker; check (I ain't no rookie) and as the next steps play out in your head for a successful calculation your eyes and head pan back and forth like a pin ball. I chuckle every time.
Anyways I went up solo to make sure everything was safe and sound then came back down to get Lauren so I could share the joy of heights.
